With Hammershøi Summer, you can almost feel the sun’s rays and warm summer breeze as you set the table for coffee and cakes on the terrace, balcony or at the holiday cottage. The set with the summer berry design includes a plate with a diameter of 22 cm. The plate's light blue hues match the mug and bowl in the series. It is decorated with the pretty forget-me-not flowers, a symbol of love and friendship, and a cute blue tit flying in and out between the flowers. The plate makes a beautiful addition to the other pieces in the series – and also pairs beautifully with other collections. Let it round off a cheerful and intimate summer atmosphere on the table while you enjoy the authentic nostalgia of Kähler’s handmade design traditions. It’s easy to imagine the plate as a base for summer classics such as strawberry cake, a crispy garden salad or new potatoes with butter and plenty of chives. The motifs are made by artist Rikke Jacobsen on the Hammershøi tableware's existing pieces designed by Hans-Christian Bauer. With her beautiful watercolours, she creates detailed motifs where flora and fauna are the key themes, perfectly capturing the nature and seasons around us.
