Frosty silver eyes

This season is the comeback of cool-toned eyeshadow, specifically silver which has long been neglected in favour of warmer tones. Models on the runways showcased these silver eyes with naked lips and relaxed hair. You can either blend out silver shadow across the entire eyelid up towards the eyebrows or simply place a small amount in the inner corner of the eye to bring radiance and a touch of glamour to the everyday. Again, finish with mascara, a soft blush to the cheeks, and neutral lips.

Soft goth

The soft goth movement shows no signs of slowing. Whether oozing punk nostalgia or vampy glamour, the runways showcased plenty of grungy, smokey eyes as well as deep cherry lips. Note the pairing of the eyes with polished skin and sometimes natural lips for a chic finish that looks luxurious while still a bit rock ‘n’ roll. When it comes to vampy lips, lip lacquer on top of lipstick gives a glass-like shine that is both punky and polished. How to wear it in real time? Go for a subtler effect, by lining your eyes with black eyeliner and smudging out with an eyeshadow brush. Finish with black volumising mascara.

Pops of pastel

A surprising trend for this time of year, but spring-like shades of pastel were a hit on the catwalks bringing some joyful colour to the fashion and beauty forecast. Whether it’s a watercolour wash around the entire eye or just a simple winged eye line of colour, worn against otherwise minimal makeup for a modern take on bright beauty. A touch of eighties made modern.
