Satake Houcho (Knife in Japanese) has an incredibly good price considering what a nice knife you actually buy. Discreet design, a razor-sharp edge, is feather-light and will survive for generations if you take care of them. The focus has been on developing a really high-quality blade with a simple, but functional handle. Houcho is Satake's best-selling knife series. A bunka is (like the Santoku & Hakata) a Japanese all-round knife/chef's knife, but there are some clear details that differentiate the different models. The blade shape of the bunk has a so-called Kaku-tip or K-tip. It is a sharply cut nose that makes the profile harder and straighter in its appearance. The reason for this shape in comparison to the softly rounded santokun is that a bowl should also be able to penetrate certain raw materials such as tendons more easily or that the harder designed tip should be able to be used for really fiddly precision work.
